So since I sold off my Warhead...I'm looking around for another Monster Truck now. Most likely going to be a basher and part time racer if I ever get into the racing scene. I hear good things about both trucks, but don't have the cash available to lay down for a brandy new one....

So which one would make a better used rig accounting for durability, ease of working on it etc etc etc Not so much concerned with being the fastest truck out there. Hell I drove a Warhead and liked it....so you know. I'm also considering scooping up an RTX-27 instead, because that $199 price tag is just HARD to pass up. Used Revos and Savage's are going for at least that much from what I have found.

Any opinions?

i have the savage x 4.6 and it is the best rc i have ever owned hands down easy to tinker with tons of hop ups and the durability is great for bashing but the revo is fast very fast it is alot lighter but bashing the break easier the revo is great for racing though but i think either way you go you would be happy they are both cool rigs

Are you dead set on those two? They are some of the most endorsed vehicles, but there are much better rigs out there.

Associated Monster GT is another great choice.

Do you think you'd like an 1/8th scale Monster Truck? If so, my vote on basher is MGT.

Not dead set on any specific vehicles right now to be honest. I ran the Warhead even when everyone and every site said it was a PoS and had no issues with it. So I'm not afraid to get a vehicle out of the norm. I do like the 1/8th scale stuff though. It's just BIIIIG. lol

Revo is the one, even my used 2.5 pulls wheelies on demand when running bit reach...
Traxxas does great engines and I just can't wait to get even bigger engine on Revo...
Savage is a great basher but it sucks at racing as it's weight it's located quiet high,on Revo weight it's located way lower and also has way better suspension...
I would go with Revo but if I had an choice between Revo 3.3 and Savage XL I would chose Savage XL as it is beast of the beasts...
