Hi I'm new to the forum but i need to know what parts to get to put a zx.30x motor in my revo

I would like a elec start but if i have to i'll deal with a pull start

I Believe i can still make it a pull start or electric, but i'm not sure

I've never had a bump start and if that's what i got to do can anyone help out on what i need to get with parts for either way,I rather make it electric start then have a starter box,but what ever way i still have that motor and i want to put it on the revo any and all help will be a great help

The 30x is a bump start engine. As far as I know there are no back plates made to make it a roto start. Unless you are talking about EZ Start and in that case it would not have a chance of turning the engine over. There is a pullstart version of the LRP .30, I have one in a Savage. That is the only way to go unless you want a starter box.

I'm pretty sure you can swap in the 30 crank and backplate. You'd have to check part numbers, but who knows if that will affect the timing or not.

Thanx guys guess i'll have to pull start it Which kinda suck's. Hey Frickenjoey How easy is the motor to tune. and do you like the power

Yes very easy to tune ONCE you get the right exhaust. I ran three pies on in util I got the rigth one. I started off with a Ofna JP-4...too restrictive, JP-1...nope either. It did really well with the JP-3 though. Then I bought a ERCM side bleed pipe and it was an amazing engine then. Tons of power. I have a picture of it in my profile pictures.

Thanks guys i,ve order the rear pull start parts that go on the spec 2 30 then order the pull start but it's on back order, said it should ship late march still trying to decide which motor i'm going to send to extreme rc. I got a picco 26 max on the revo now which only has about 7 tanks of fuel though it. But the Lrp 30 is bigger and will be new which then will give me time to get parts to make the LRP work in the revo

Well should have received my LRP 30 today but i'm at work i hope i can just find everthing i need for it to work. I've done a little research i think i might be able to get a roto start to work but still unsure.I know there's sum of you revo guys that has to know what will work please reply. i've seen them on youtube but i dont know what parts i need

Sorry guy's i my buddy forgot to log out. Savagecrazy81 was me writing about the motor i should have got today LOL

Well the back plate for the pull start of the ZR.30 spec 2 works on the ZR .30x so if i have to i will put a pull start on it my next question is what motor mount do i need.do i need the new era mount or will the traxxas big block kit work ?

Well i know what i need to make the motor work roto start plate and new era mount. Got some things to do while i send it to Robin to get modded which going to make my revo super retarded to drive but thats what i was looking for (LOL) And while its gone i got to build the tranny with steel gears which i got all the parts for and gotta get MIP CVD's I got like 1000$ into the truck wish i could put up some pic's.

I got integy shock's witch i modded with GTR pistons,Integy A-arms all the way around, the 26 max in it intill i get the 30 back,RPM hubs High flow air fliter, and big joe tires. what else do you guy think i should hop up.

Oh man...you are going to wish you did not put on the Integy arms. You were better off with the stock arms. Stronger and lighter. The shocks may or may not hold up as well as the stock. I am betting not.

You may want to upgrade steering and throttle servos. And only have a single steering servo and also FOC and remove some extra weight :p

i would upgrade all that integy stuff first...lol...hope you built it to be a shelf queen...

I did upgrade to a single steering servo, and i do have a whole other tranny with all FOC steel gears REVO-5309. As far as the integy stuff goes i never had any problems with there stuff but maybe i'm just lucky what brand do you guys like as far as Alum. goes

alloy is crap. it can't bend..... thats if ur gonna use it..... if ur just going to look at it its good.
