revo trottle servo trouble?

I am disable and love this hobby but things are always going wrong and can't afford to keep repairing things here's my problem now. I got robinson racing gears a metal spur gear and harded clutch bell and racing shoes, I took my revo and he installed these for 30.00. everything was working fine when I took in. Well took it out for first time today and the throttle servo won't work the steering one does. The only thing I see disconnected is the wire to top of tranny thing it's a sensor wire any ideas and how can I check the servo to se if that's the trouble please I'm an old man not to much tech works lol any help would be great

need more revo advice

As stated before had hobby shop put in all robinson racing stuff that I got for a steal. Well when taken out to play with for first time throlle servo don't work how do you check it only wire and stuff see disconnected is mini servo and wire at top of tranny which I think is a sensor wire. When looking at your forums see that a better spring is the traxxas 4045 also here their are better servos for steering and throttle. can anyone tell me which ones and where to get would like to stay in hobby but it's costing me dearly with these breakdowns and since I'm new it don't help On disability income due to servere back injury so I take my truck get my hooverround out and sit in driveway and go up and down street and if it flips chase it with hooveround thanks

i dont whats a better servo but u can check it by unplug the throttle servo then unplug one of your steering servo plug your throttle servo in the steeering slot if its works then its not the servo if it doesn't then its the servo

if its has optive drive on it that sencor that goesto the tranny will haft to be plug in or your throttle will not work you can by pass the optive drive just look at your receiver channle 2 is throttle i think un plug the optive drive take the trottle sevowire and plug it directly in to the receiverwhere its say throtltle channel it should work if not its the servo

Mod Note: Threads with same question merged. Seems like a feasible question. Let's see if we can figure it out for him.

I think the first place to start is the hobby shop that installed the parts for you. If it worked when you took it in, they should correct the problem. It seems to me it's something simple, there isn't much to an RC car. Sounds like a wire or the receiver battery is weak.
