Revo Header Flange

I read somewhere that cutting flange off head pipe on the 3.3 would help.
is this true?

not exactly sure what flange your talking about but I would assume it is where the silicone couple connects the pipe to the header.

Changing the length of the header is a large part of how a tuned pipe works. So by shortening it you will change the performance of the engine. Just simply cutting an arbitrary amount of pipe off the header without knowing what your doing probably isnt a good idea.

Think it was like 3/8 in or less was said to remove.

Well it wont hurt anything but whether it give you any gains or not I dont know. It will basically change the power band of then engine either giving it more low end power or top end power but I dont know which way it will go if you shorten it.

Personally i wouldnt mess with it unless you are trying to squeeze every last bit of speed out of your rig.

Best thing to do is get rid of that POS nitro and go brushless... That will pick up your top end.
If you're one of those that will "miss the sound"; get you a kazoo.
You might not have to blow as hard as your 3.3 surely does.
