I just picked up a Revo 3.3 used (no optidrive and a 2ch radio so no reverse) and I was tearing around running great then cartwheeled it. It briefly went into reverse and now it is stuck in neutral and I cannot manually turn the flywheel.

Did my cartwheel knock something off center or do I need to tear apart the tranny

Thank you

Is it the flywheel on the motor or the spur gear on the transmission that is stuck??
If your flywheel is stuck, look for a rock or something that may have wedged in between the flywheel and chassis, I have had gravel do this time mine a few different times, we have mostly gravel to run on around here and it is hard on RC's, the undersides take a real beating. I would not think its in your tranny because your clutch bell should spin freely, if your tranny was locked you would still be able to turn the flywheel. You could have also broke a connecting rod, TRX motors are notorious for this. If you can't visibly see anything wedged on the flywheel, I would pull the motor out and remove the backplate and head and inspect the motor. If your spur gear on the tranny is stuck you will probably have to take it out and take it apart to see what exactly happened.

Its the spur gear on the tranny that is stuck so I can't get it to manually move it.

Well I rocked it back and forth a few times and something clicked and now it works fine but I still don't know what happened in order to fix it

Sounds like you might have gotten a piece of gravel stuck between the suspension arm and the axle preventing any part of the drive train from turning.

Well it happened again when I flipped it, I can get it unstuck if a roll the truck back and forth a bit but I would just like to fix it

Its in the Reverse gear, even though your truck doesn't have it, the trans still has that gear and it is the weak part in the Traxxas Revo tranny. You can get a kit that eliminates the reverse gear from the Revo. I have had this happen with both of my Revos, one I just went ahead and fixed the reverse in and the other I converted to a Dynamite Mach 26 motor and used the Traxxas big block conversion kit, it came with these parts, I gave you a link for. I guess when you go to the big block motor, Traxxas is aware that the tranny wont take the power so they give you these parts with the kit.

Here is what you are going to need to fix it.

To replace the weak reverse as noted, Traxxas makes a Forward Only Conversion (FOC) part #5394Xif you don't want to buy the BB kit.
