Revo engine transplant.

How much trouble would it be to go BB in a 2.5 revo? My buddy wants to do it. Are there trans issues I'm not considering? Mount problems? Is there enough room?

You can do it, but there might be a few issues with setting the mesh. You'll also have to rebuild the transmission with stronger internals.

make sure you get a new era BB mount

you will also need the following at the same time or be prepared to change them soon after:

1/8 clutch
BB exhaust
steel trans gears (robinson racing)/forward only conversion
faster/stronger servo for brake/throttle (better for the brakes mainly)


keep spares for the following:
drive shafts/pins
gearbox pins
glow plugs
brake pads are handy to have a set of
ca glue


prob a few little things iv forgotten

You'll also want to to do a Forward Only Conversion (FOC) to make the transmission not as fragile.
