howdy all - my revo 3.3 was running awsome, now all of a sudden it won't idle, the clutch tries to engage and that stalls it. i pulled the engine and bell gear, found the spring had a kink in it - when its off an laying flat it has a 90.deg bend about 1 cm from the end. i put a new spring in it, still does it. when it was cold and i first started it it was fine, but after a couple minutes of warm up same thing again. if i come in and stop you can here the slipper clanking away and trying to engage for a second and then stalls. i replaced with the stock revo clucth spring, should i have used the shorter higher stall spring? i'm not sure the exact history of this revo but the old clutch shoes had two holes for each pin instead of one - is that aftermarket? one set of holes is in the same position as the regular one hole type and the other pair of holes is closer to the middle of the shoe.....the bell gear and bearings etc all seems fine....no jetting or anything has been changed since it was running fine so i'm sure something happened at the track, just can't find it yet....any ideas? thanks and cheers.
oh yeah if i reach in with a flat blade and stop the bell gear from turning and then start it it starts and idles fine, pull the screw driver out and stalls. by that logic if i just held the revo wheels and started it should be the same but isn't, it won't start, slipper just clanks away and it won't get enough rpm to idle.
