Z400
Gone - bye bye.
Well...
the Girlfriend and I stayed at her moms house for 5 days, and thats 2 hours from here, so hecks no, i wasn't going to get bored, So i took my truck along with.
just 2 house's down, crews were working on the road and such, so there was alot of sand piles and gravel piles and good golly i took advantage of them.
So with a header that wont accept a gasket, and lots of sand..things got messy, so i was forced to do a complete tear down and an all out cleaning.
i took pics during the process just to give others an idea of what it can possibly take to get a truck looking pretty much, good as new.
This process took me a total of 4.5 hours, 2nd time i've done this.
i started taking pictures afte ri had the front end takin apart, thats when i decided i would do such a thing as this.
now for the pictures..
tore down the front end and started to soak it in my 2.5g aqaurium with a mixture of warm water and 3 tablespoons of dish soap
the mess
cleaned the front area of the chassis
I'm using just a wet wash cloth with WD-40 sprayed here and there on it
woo
the new looking front end.
only thing new is the front body mount/shock tower part
Shocks cleaned and re-installed
another shot of it all, well some of it..
the reason why i clean my truck this way..
^all of that on the chassis...the bits and pieces of whats left of my RRP combo...
yuck! exhaust on the wing mount!
rear gone, time to clean the chassis
yea see! there actually is something under that dirt!
my "dunk tank"
ready to be put back together
Steering and throttle servo and mounts installed
Well its gettin there..
tank installed
engine, pipe, fuel lines, receiver, receiver box
all there
installed the linkages, dialed in everything, and its ready to bash
why did i make a thread with all of this?
Because, i wanted to show others another easy way to clean there truck or trucks, yes it takes time, bit it sue does make your stuff look good afterwards!
