Hey guys. Just got my New Era Big block conversion kit and ran into a snag. The plate/motor was a snap, says tons about the quality of machining of NEP, however the throttle linkage seems to be in a little snag. The long shaft that goes from the servo to the stock horn gets all binded up. Had to modify it a little to even reach the horn because it was not even close to fitting. W/out the shaft that goes from servo to the horn, the horn to carb linkage it nice and smooth, so its not causing the binding. Can you guys post some pics and let me see how your linkage looks?

TTT....someone post some pics....I need help please...trying to get it together for monday.

I made a new wire out of something heavier gauge than what NE included in the kit. I just went to my LHS with my NE wire in hand and grabbed a threaded end rod that was larger in diameter a bit so it would be more stiff. I used a ball end on it instead of a z-bend to remove as much slop as I could. I also replaced the bushings in the pivot with bearings to further remove slop and promote smooth movement.

I also made a new linkage when i ran that kit with a axial .28.

Made the new linkage out of 4-40, before i bent it all i slid a piece of brass tube over the 4-40 rod.

I havent owned a revo in years but i actually still have the linkage, i'll get a picture up as soon as i can.
Wont be until tonight. Broke my camera yesterday.

Z and Olds. Thank you guys so much. I actually got the stock NE linkage to work a little better, however i will go with Z's idea with an Olds twist. The Linkage Z provided with the threaded rod ball link idea. Thanks again guys.
