Hi guys so if you saw my last post you will know I'm a complete noob! Had my revo 3.3 (5309) delivered Friday, I took her out all seems well accelerated well top ends good handles pretty great suspensions a little soft for my liking but I can tweak that! All this was great until I thought id try reverse and she just went forwards again! Lol! So now I turn to you guys any ideas what's going on or anything I can check? Bear in mind complete noob so might take a little explaining :-)
Thanks

If it is used last owner may have put forward only kit in it.

Ah right ok is there an easy way to check that? And what's the advantages of it?

Forward only conversion eliminates the reverse gears inside the tranny, as well as the accuating servo. Makes for a stronger tranny and a bit of weight reduction. Look for a servo that has a link running from it to the front of the tranny. If it's there, you have reverse installed. If reverse doesn't engage, your idle is probably high.

Right so I'm guessing from what you said and looking at this pic I do have it installed! When I press the reverse button on the controller the servo below the throttle 1 doesn't move I'm guessing this is the reverse 1?

Yepper. Check the wires and the connector. If you can't find a problem, the servo needs replaced. At that point, I'd go with the foc. For 10-12 bucks, you eliminate future problems.

Right ok metal head I'll give that a try ! I'll lt ya know the out come :-)

It's defo the wire that goes into the servo! Another problem now is when it gets up some speed and changes gear straight away loses power for a few seconds before it picks up again!

How do I know how much to knock it down by? Just until it doesn't bog any more? Totally new to this but I'll get there in the end lol

Thanks for the links really helpful! Especially the flow chart on tuning I will follow that hopefully will
Stop me bogging down! Thanks guys I'll let ya know how I get on!
