I am really new to nitro rc but i will give this a try. I just purchased a revo 3.3 last week and had it outside today. I have already done the break in. I had the truck at about 3/4 throttle and rolled it. It rolled about three times and landed back on all 4's. But after that the truck would not go forward or reverse. Upon inspecting the bottom of the truck I noticed the teeth of the spur gear was not locked into the teethof the other gear below it. (i guess that is the transmission)
When i start the truck the little gear below the spur gear just spins, but does not lock into the spur gear to move the truck. Is is possible i bent the chassis on the rollover and that is the reason that these two gear things are not locked together? The truck did not roll that hard to bend the chassis and i would be shocked and dissapointed if it were bent. Any suggestions please help because i cannot get in touch with Traxxas until Monday.

here number one is the screw that is probly loose and let he engine slide number 2 is the spur gear that may be stripped and number 3 the clutch bell gear

No both little gears spin and the truck can roll. But the two gears are supposed to meet and turn together and they don't. The truck does start and throttle and does not attempt to move at all. I don;t think the engine smacked the ground becasue it did not roll over that hard but again i am new to nitro trucks so i guess anything is possible. You said a stripped gear but none of the teeth are missing it looks as if the part where the engine is needs to bent upward about 1/4 inch to meet the other gear and the teeth of the two gears would come together and i am sure the truck would move then. I just don't know how to go about it.

ok then look at that pic (posted above) your problem sounds like number one.. can you grab a hold of the engine head and tilt the engine toward or away from the fuel tank? if you can the screw is your problem.

it would just take a Very hard roll to bend the chassis and i dont think thats it at all (but like you said any thing is possible and you should check to be sure)

revo 3.3

Thanks for the pic. the problem is the spur gear and the clutch bell gear are not together like the pic. I will try the scew to slide the engine forward. Hope it helps, again thanks for everything

USE lock tight....and cinch it down good when you have the mesh right.....it should spin both gears smoothly when properly meshed together.....

thanks everybody, I loosened the screw and tilted the engine up, both gears meshed together and now thr truck moves. YEAH!!! Thanks for all the help, now i just need to retune it because when the trcuk wouldn't move I panicked and just started turning every screw that I knew did something.

when in doubt turn all needles to stock setting and start over tuning
and make sure you re tighten that screw you loosened good and tight and like Talon said use loc tite blue loc tite.
