Ok i went through and read the mods for the revo. The article is pretty old so i have a few questions.
I want to go with a high torque steering servo, and pretty fast throttle brake servo. new receiver and radio preferably 2.4ghz.
I was looking over the steering mod and looking at my truck as well. It seems that its a great idea but i saw an issue with that. Removing the 2 humps isnt the only thing stopping the steering. After those 2 humps are removed the actual steering linkage will now be the next thing to stop the turning. So what is needed to mod the linkage?

Also i want to get my revo setup for dirt and asphalt. I want it as low as possible without bottoming out, must be able to hit some decent jumps and turn like its on rails on the asphalt. basically its gonna be like moto x for the revo. So low ride height, stiff springs and roll bars but i dont know exactly which is best.

well you can lower your revo with out buying anything different and as far as it handling like its on rails on asphalt i wish you the best of luck with that because for the simple fact is that it isn't an on road truck its made to be off road (to a point) but if ur mostly on asphalt and hard packed dirt. . the first thing u hafta ditch if u haven't already are the stock talon tires. . .get some "proline Road Rage" Tires
http://www.prolineracing.com/p-293-road-rage-32-mt.aspx
and u can change the oil in the shocks to a thicker weight and tighten them down all the way and that will help a little bit with the on road handling but kind of make the off road suffer a little bit. . .but thats all i really have and i really don't know a whole hell of a lot but i do know some. . hope this helps you at least a little bit

what about the silver dotted GTR springs. the ones that are on it are the white dot springs(2.9) whereas the silver ones are 4.9. This should stiffen the suspension up enough to be able to lower to the lowest notch in the lower arm correct?

yeah but the problem with those springs i have seen is that when you go over jumps with them the rig tends to bounce on landing unless you have the shocks tuned just right

You are trying to get the best of both worlds and it is impossible. You will never get a Revo to handle great on both. Your best luck for asphalt would be Pro-Line Road Rages mounted on RPM Stable Maxx wheels they have 3/4 inch offset to get a real wide stance. And setting your pushrods to the lowest setting. Second as far as the linkage limiting your steering I believe its because of your stock radio system, get a 2.4ghz system that has EPA(end point adjustments, most 2.4 ghz system do) this should give you more steering by allowing it to use the servos full Range. The stock Radio doesn't throw the servo its full range.
