does anyone know how to make it more quite. i read that different pipes can do that. but is there any other ways? i am also in a price limmit.

Unfortunately, loud engines are the nature of the beast. There isn't a whole lot you can do to make it quieter other than a new pipe. If quiet running is a must, electric is the best option.

An alternative to avoid noise complaints is to find a different place to run your truck.

do you know of a pipe that i can use. that is cost effecient and will make it as close to silent as you can go.

The quietest pipe that I know is the stock Traxxas pipe not the Traxxas Resonator.

+1. Throw an oil deflector on the stinger as well. That's about as quite as it gets. Expect a substantial performance decrease.

i read and saw a video that you can hook a silicone pipe to the pipe that the revo comes with. if it is long engough it will make it not as loud. is that true. i would try it but i am woried that the exahust would melp the silicone pipe.

here is the link for the video that i saw.

so do oil deflectors work well. well i am new to the rc car world so i do not know all of the terms

if one is too long does it cause you to loose power. if so how much. and could you give a rough number for the percent lost.

i would not do what he does in the video ....anyway, not quite like that ....the tube he uses looks like just normal clear tubing you get at the hardware store .......also, the way he hooks it up to the stinger is not the best idea...i would use a bigger tubing that goes over the stinger , NOT inside it ......I'm pretty sure his way restricts the exhaust quite a bit

i see nothing wrong about the way he primes his engine ....but the way he sucks the fuel back in the tank and ends up getting some in his mouth ...lol...that is to funny ...and not very healthy ...lol...which might explain his way of doing the modifications ...lol

so what type of tubbing would i use. could you use brass tubing or what else.

Hobby shops sell them for a few bucks. You don't want anything solid hanging off the exhaust, outside of the vehicle. Tower Hobbies, and many other shops have them. I'll link ya up.

That's what you want. Just be sure to order one that is the right size for your stinger.

can you hook multible of them together so that they are longer. the main reason that i want it to be quiete is becasue i will sometimes run it in my neighborhood. but most the time i run it at my farm which i go to almost every weekend. so tubbing would not work good, but those will. how much would they reduce the volume by.

I wouldnt make anything near that long. That would cause a TON of restriction on the exhaust. I'd only use like an inch MAX. The pipes are made the way that they are for a reason. Nitros are loud. Period. Nothing will quiet them down without potentially harming your motor.

Hooking multiple deflectors together would probably cause a restriction problem. They don't reduce the volume by much. They're main purpose is to keep exhaust residue off of the vehicle. There's no such thing as a quite nitro.

If it's the middle of the day then who cares? It's not any louder than a lawn tractor or weed whacker.....is it? You don't see people bitchin' about mowers all the time.

As much as I agree with your statement on this one, there are people out there who just like to ruin the fun of other people.. I've had neighbors complain about the noise to me at first... but when I told them if they keep their screaming and obnoxious kids quiet when THEY are outside playing then I will keep the noise down.. they kind of saw it the other way. Some people are just too stupid to understand that concept though.

Honestly, unless you are running at night, or there is a daytime noise ordinance, I'd tell the neighbors to shove it. There was nothing I could do when my neighbor took jackhammer to his driveway at 7:00am after I worked all night, so there's nothing they can do when I run my nitros up and down the street.

Exactly. No difference if I spend an hour mowing + 30 minutes weedwacking + 30 minutes edging. Nobody complains about that in the middle of the day.
