Hi,
Was running my Revo the other day all was well.. Took it on the football oval and on the way back it came to a stop, but continued to Idle.. Pushed the accel and No forward movement.
So I was like Cool it needs the Slipper clutch screw Tightened.. Did that and nothing.

Took it home and found the slipper clutch had a half pad on it. So replaced thinking this would solve the problem.. Nope :(

*Pulled the Tranny apart All teeth are intact..
*Took the motor off and checked the bell Clutch pads, think thats what its called (Two pads with a spring around it) It looked ok I think.. Not sure what a bad one looks like as its my first RC..

After all this I put it back together meshed it up.. started it up and No movement.. The wheels want to move , but no :\ Even off the ground the wheels dont wanna turn and the car just Revs.. Definatly not the brakes either.

With the tranny should you be able to hold the drive shaft with a Hex key and Turn the slipper? and do the opposite -hold the slipper and turn the drive shaft?

Was thinking the Drive shaft?

If you can Help CHEERS

check the gear box again. sometimes the pins holding the gears to the shafts snap. iv had one snap in 3 places.... only reason it stayed there was the clip that holds the pin in place. another one snapped and went through the box and did minor damage to the gears. cut the damaged teeth straight again and its all good. I'm lucky it didnt take any teeth out completely....

doubt it will be both diff's at once. ill put $10 on its a pin in the box. mine would rev but barely move. it turned the wheels like a little but under any pressure/resistance it wouldnt move.

It could be a grub screew or pin in the trans or the OWB on first gear went bad. It could be grub screws on the trans outdrives or diff inputs as well. Or missing bones.

Also check your flywheel the flywheel nut could have backed off somehow.

Cool thanks Guys, Will check This today.. As for the Diffs I have no Idea how to access them. Does anyone have a Link on how to do it?
Again thanks for your replies.
I will keep you posted on how it's going.

Ok so I pulled apart the Tranny again.. nothing seems wrong No teeth worn etc etc.
Took out the Clutch Shoes and I'm thinking that may be the problem.. they Look worn (grinded down creating a lip on the edge). I've looked at pictures of New pads and they have no lip on them, Just the same shape arount the edge.
Hope this makes sense.. I want to upload a photo of my pads but I can't figure out how lol

You need a deeper CB if that is happening or your CB needs shimmed back

Shims are like really thin washers used to take up space to keep the CB pushed back towards the flywheel. Put the cb on and add shims in front of the bearing to the end of the crank shaft than put the screw in the crank. You can also cut a piece of fuel tubing the length of the crank that sticks past the CB and put that on the crank than put a washer and the screw on end of the crank to keep it in place. The later is how I have been doing it for years. Works great just have to replace that little piece of fuel tubing often as it wears out.

Thanks Pope, I Will give that ago when I buy new Clutch pad tomorrow (LHS) is closed today.

Increasing Shims should stop the uneven wear on the pads hey?

Yea what is happening is that part of the pad is not touching the CB so the rest is wearing and that part is not. You may also just need a deeper CB

Are you sure the slipper is tight enough?

Its tight enough..(had it go lose on me before) so i know that isnt the problem. I put a brand new one in after a pad broke in half.. Will be the BC pad for sure. Heading to the Hobby store tomorrow to buy a new one.. and if that dosnt make it move forward.. well I'll Get my real car and run over it
