Besides the engine what is the Difference between the 2.5 and the 3.3(not the the new 3.3)

Trying to decide if i want to pick a 2.5 up cause i have a 3.3 with a ofna .21 on it

The parts are interchangeable for the most part. The only thing that I see that could be a problem is the air filter.

everything works but the front drive shaft and the steering linkage i believe. i have a 2.5 that i made a platinum clone.

Probably the only thing that you can't "fit" from a 3.3 on the 2.5 is the chassis itself. It's longer between the top of the front shocks and the trans. This changes the steering linkage, front center axle and front skid (I think the skid).

I upgraded my 2.5 revo when I had it to a 3.3 chassis and had to change those bits as well. I wanted the extra length to make it less wheelie prone with my 18TM in it. Helped quite a bit and made it less twitchy when running.

No the bodies are not interchangeable. You might be able to use a 3.3 body with lots of cutting and hole drilling on a 2.5 chassis. It really isn't worth the effort.

so they have the same transmissions???

It is the same tranny except the 2.5 has standard ratio gears. The 3.3 has the wide ratio gears. I have switched my 3.3 to the 2.5 chassis before it's about 95% the same parts. I like the extra 30mm they added to the front of the 3.3 it makes a very noticable difference in handling. Right now I'm going nuts on my 3.3 so I can build my 2.5 again as a wheelie popper - basher thingy. The 3.3 is getting a sirio s27 with a long list of upgrades and 2.5 is getting the hand me downs..... And alot of them are upgrades like futaba servos, ths pipe and a 3.3 to name a few. I just wish I would have decided to do this in june not november.
