Can anyone tell me the difference between the Traxxas 5490 resonantor and the 5493 tuned resonator? Is it louder?

the 5490 is also a single chamber ...i have one of them ..it does sound a bit different and a bit louder than the stock one ....my 3.3 likes it

I dont find there to be much difference in loudness, just a different tone.

well i was asking because my revo and my buddys revo sound alot different, but i looked at them and they are the same.Any ideas why?

oh ya!! I did do that to mine. Forgot all about that, its been a while.
Runs a lot better with the single chamber pipe. I accidentally bought the dual chamber chrome off ebay and didn't realize it until it was in my hands... pretty much the same as stock blue pipe, just shiny.
I took my stock pipe, a drill, big screwdriver and hammered/drilled out the internal baffle. Was a pain, but I was annoyed at myself for buying the 2 chamber...
