Replacement tires

I have been running the tires on my savage for a while now and there's like no tread left so its time for new tires. I liked the performance that I got with my stock ones but I would like to try a different tred. I am looking for something that would fit the stock hpi savage x wheel. I am running on compact and soft dirt (ie: construction sites). I am also looking for somthing on the cheap side.

Zombie Maxx tires hook up really well. Just don't run them on pavement as they are pretty soft and will wear pretty quick.

I am looking for something abit less agressive so they can also be ran on the road from time to time.

Imex J-Hawgs aren't bad for both on/off road. Plenty of contact patch for long wear on pavement, but aggressive enough to hook up ok in the grass and construction sites.

What tires do you have now? HPI 21 Savage tires? If so, the j-hawgs aren't as tall, neither are the zombie maxx's.

i am retiring my tires from the savage x http://www.hpiracing.com/graphics/kits/867/big_chassis.jpg. Again, I think these are agressive. I like the tires that have the "needles" but how are the on traction with the construction sites and grass.

Needles?? do you mean pins? Like the proline bow ties? if so those are primarily for groomed dirts surfaces. IMO the rubber is too soft for extended runs on pavement. i burned thru my bow ties, and HPI NUBZ in less than a month.
have you looked into the IMEX line of Tires? Take a look at the iMEX swamp dawgs.

Yes, they will, but I've had better luck with RPM rims vs HPI rims:

I run those with the tires you've linked too on my savage. I really like those tires on the savage. Adds a bit of cushion for big air, but grip and decent tread life for all surface running.
