I ran my Savage today with minimal problems. I had gotten so frustrated 2 weeks ago I just put it down and left it alone. I was always breaking someting or having tuning issues. Last night around 8 pm I started rebuilding it and finished at 1 AM but it was all worth it. Took it out to the local BMX track today and the thing kicked some serious butt. I love this truck but I had so much bad luck with it I almost switched to something else. Anyway my one last effort payed off. Savage rocks!

I had something similar. But what made me keep was 2 tanks. Now I'm back to problems. I hope their short lived...glad to hear she didnt hit the road(savage).

I am in the same boat as you were. Hopefully when I put this thing back together I meet the same success you did. Otherwise I am going to throw it through a fooking brick wall.

I really am serious...If I can finish my MBX5 I will do it.

I am writing some reviews so I am up for it so long as you pay shipping!

Tunning really that hard? I have always thought it to be easy...

It should be, but I have had nothing but problems with mine though I think I found the reason why. I am awaiting a new backplate from HPI since the one I had on cracked. While I have mine apart I am doing the spider mod, already did the uni-flow mod and I am adding a motorsaver which I ordered yesterday.

Hopefully when I get it put back together it will stay running long enough for me to tune the needles and then run the hell out of it. If it still doesn't run right I may consider throwing it in the bottom of one of the 10,000 lakes we have here. :D

Seriously though, I think it has been tougher for me to tune it because I am/was pretty new to tuning RC trucks. I have learned a ton since I started fooling around with stuff and hope it gets easier as I go.

I had a buddy help me some on mine when I first started. That was a lot of help. Had another truck that I had gave up on in the basement. Got it out about 3 weeks ago and got it tuned. So I'm getting the hang of it.
It's learn as ya go. Takes patience. Before long you will be helping the new ones tune theirs.

I've had hell for 2 years with my rc's and can't getem running but i wont give up...

Good for you. Perserverance is key to tuning. Don't give up and get out of the hobby. Seek help. If it really is that bad then ask for help. I offered mine to Geardigger cause I am confident I can get his running. The S-25 is not that difficult. Finding out other problems on the ride can be frustrating but never impossible to fix/replace.
