So I don't have one of these. Not sure what the "before" was.

Sure, so actually you just mount the upper and lower rear links a bit further back to gain about 10mm more wheelbase, and you also have to adjust the position of the rear shocks to accommodate the stretch better.
You can do that all with the stock parts.
Someone made a YT video how it's done, just search for Apex free stretch.

I think I actually saw the video come up in my suggestions and wondered if that was what you were talking about.
I will check it out, and share it with my buddy that has an Apex
