i'm thinking of getting one,but i got some questions:

How are they?
should i go with a DuraTraxx Rechargable Glow Starter or another brand?
how many start's are they good for?

I use the dynamite unit with a rechargeable sub C battery. It lasts all day and more. I keep a 2nd charged battery in my box just in case. If you get one consider getting a model that has a meter on it. The meter will give you an idea of the charge in the battery as well as let you know if the glow plug is bad.

In my book they are a must have.

I'm with fast eddy on this. Get a glow starter that comes with a charger. I charge mine once a weekend. Normally friday night to go bash for the weekend. I keep a second battery in my box as well. The metered ones are nice. If a glow plug is shot, it tells you. If the bat is dead, it tells you. Saves on frustration and pullstarts.

I have both a rechargeable and a C cell. Only use the C cell as a backup just in case murphy's law comes into play.

i was just asking cause i'm not paying no 8 bucks for 8 C Batteries.

what would be a good brand next to mr.eddy's suggestion?

Well, my rechargeable is an OFNA, my c-cell is a dynamite ... both have a meter. I think I paid $20+ for the rechargeable and about $15 for the c-cell.

There's also the Duratrax Ultimate Glow starter - c . It uses both a sub-c rechargeable (included) and a c size alkaline. Only thing is that it doesn't have a meter.
Just click on the underlined link.
