That about covers it. If it is not something easily repaired, I recommend just replacing the faulty unit.
 
If you have an extra set of crystals it may be worth a shot to swap them out. They are pretty fragile and after a life of bashing it wouldn't be out of touch that it may has gone bad.
 
I dont have an extra set of crystals, but if i can't find the problem when i look at the receiver, ill take ur advice and try swapping them out with new ones.

Well i just took a look at the receiver, and i couldnt see anything wrong with it. Everything pretty much looked like it should. I guess ill try new crystals and a new antenna wire, to see if that works for me.
 
Just want to let you know, I founf out what the problem was. I changed the crystals, and that didnt help. Then i took apart the receiver, got the old receiver wire off, got some 24 guage wire, and soldered on a new antenna. When i tried it it was perfect! I guess some wires got seperated in a crash of something. Anyways, just wanted to let you know. Thanks for the help!!
