What can you do to protect your receiver antenna wire besides it being in the tube. I was driven my XL last week on the road I flipped it and the receiver antenna got ripped off. Has anybody else had this happen or was this just a freak accident?

ii had this happen to mine also i bought a tactic 2.4ghz controller with a wireless rx cheep price and works great and best of all no wire hanging out the roof http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXWRP3&P=ML

I have the excess wire wrapped around the tube and then the whole thing protected in a length of shrink wrap.
Seems to protect it nicely. But yep, 2.4 radio is in my future too!

Bash, Fix, Repeat..
you can route the antenna out the back glass of the body instead of the top. this way it doesn't get bent and cut in a crash.
