would it work, would it inprove handling?, or would it simmply not work and fall under the flames of hell..??:radio:

go here then go to reviews and scroll down the page and it should say something like steering hop-ups or somethin and there are 2 reviews on the rad r/c 4 wheel steer kit. the site wont let me give direct link.

Have you ever seen one of those high-end lawnmowers that is rear steering only? They are murder to control unless you really practice. They are difficult.
I can't see rear wheel only steering really working. If you're really curious, try driving your truck in reverse for a while and you'll see.

I wouldnt do it becuase did you ever try to drive a t-maxx in reverse real fast then turn you will end up rolling it. The same thing will happen if you do that with this project.

i would not reccomend doing a rear wheel steering only because it will be way to touchy and you will roll it non-stop i have experience with rear wheel steering things because i drive forklifts alot which are rear wheel steering and front wheel drive (so you can opperate in very small areas) well any way once you get it up to speed they are very touchy and if you turn semi-sharp one side will come off the ground and will flip it turned hard enough. So a a RC with rear wheel steering would act the same as that

Well the car that broke the sound barrier on land...it was rear wheel steering. Also, full size monster trucks a 4 wheel steering. So it CAN be controlled.

But probably not very controllable in an r/c

I Think it would work... Just the steering would be very sketchy i would think... Try it tho.. If it works well then sweet! :redbuggy: :sniper:

Put your body on backwards
Reverse the 3rd channel so forward is reverse and vice versa

Wa' La'

Project done

this'd make the car pretty much impossable to steer... i'v been playing with driving my savage in reverse and it'll flip at any kinda speed :(

ooh, let's race forklifts! :( Bad idea, you'll flip it over in a heartbeat. I'm actually in the middle of a project in which I'm using the RadRC 4 wheel steering as my primary steering but up front. the only problem with it is that the wheels turn at slightly different rates, and all in all one of the wheels will turn a little more than the other will, I'm not sure how well it'll work for primary front steering but I'll find out sooner or later.

it would flip with touchy fast servos but jus6 anbd idea what would happen if you used a slow servo maybe since its a mt why not a standard airtronics servo or something.

Dude, Full size monster trucks are 4 wheel steering caz they can't turn thier front wheels very far, so it helps making short turns. 4 wheel steering also has nothing to do with this thread because 4 wheel steering works, 2 wheel rear steering does not.

And, the first car to reach 741+ mph was NOT rwd.

I made a 4ws kit for my maxx. I found it touchy at higher speeds but since I locked the diffs and lost most of my turning radius, I had no choice. It worked out well though. Because no matter how fast I went with four wheel steering, I never flipped over. With the normal configuration the outer rear wheel grabs as the front tries to turn causing the thing to want to flip. But with the four wheel steering, the rear wheels kicked themselves out as the fronts turned which kept it from rolling over.

I'm sure we have been through this befor search and you will find :)
