Hey, I was wondering if there was any way to fix my car when it has WAY to sensitive of steering. I am worried that the car will flip really soon, it pretty much already does 2 wheelers (to one side). Thanks

If you have the stock radio, there is a dail that you turn near your thumb and it turns the steering down. You can also loosen the servo saver.

I wish i had you steering servo lol. I need an airtronics. What you can do is switch the settings on how far your wheels turn on your radio. I think the needle will say D/R ro something. If you turn that, it will make your tires turn more or less. less will make your car not roll as much.

Hey, I dont think that my radio has that thing. I have the Futaba T2PH and if you know how to adjust it, please help. Thanks

Ok, according to the manual, the 2PH doesn't have steering dual rate. That would have allowed you to temper the steering. So the only way to do it is to adjust the steering linkage. You want to make sure that the steering linkage is attached in the servo arm hole that is closest to the servo shaft. Also make sure the linkage is attached to the hole furthest away from the shaft on the other end at the steering linkage. That should tone down the steering a bit.

Hmmmmmm. If you are using those servos and they are too fast, i'd say just try and get used to it. Are you driving in grass? all cars flip on grass no matter how sensative your servos are.

I guess i dont have grippy tires... I usually just drive on grass with my gt, sometimes loose gravel or dirt.. all i use is paddles in the back with edges in the front...

I am using the Futaba S3003 servos ...

This are pretty much "standard" servos and most with the GT would complain about push and understeer. Most GT owners want something faster and stronger than the 3003's, so if your steering is oversensitive, it's something else.

I'd go with Candyman's advice, play around with setting the linkage farther out on the servo horn, or use a longer horn so you can do so. Just to clarify, the farther in toward the center of the servo spline, the less throw (overall linkage travel) it will have but faster it will react. Farther out on the servo horm you will get more throw but slower reaction.

I wouldn't loosen the servo saver - that adjustment is to allow the linkage to give under a hard hit, not adjust the steering characteristics.

Something else too, the suspension setup can affect how twitchy the steering is on the GT, start with green springs and 30 wt all around, rear dogbones/CVD's level with the ground, and all the camber links in the stock position. That should sufficiently damp down the steering. :D

hey buggyracer28, I have not tried the steering much in grass, I notice it on the road mostly.

Candyman - I am going to try your method to see how it works.

I will post pics later to show what tires I have and stuff.

Thanks for all your help!

is that so i can change the sensitivity?
