I purchased RF9.5 yesterday and just spent an hour figuring out how to install it. When I plug the remote in, the system said device not recognized and this pops up when i open RF.

There is no USB port on my computer, it's just two little micro USB things, but I have a micro to USB jack as pictured. Is there something else I need for this to work or did I miss a step in installing everything?

Hoping to get this rresolved. Thanks.

As it turns out, there is a boatload of people having trouble with RF 9.5 over on Steam. I assume you bought this from Horizon and not through Steam?

I got it from my lhs. I did see other people on other forums with same issue but no answers yet.
@Iowa_dude Are there any menu's in the the software itself where you can select between the keyboard or controller? I have an older version but it's been a while since I set it up.
Not that I seen but will look again tomorrow. At first when I plugged it in, the computer said several times that it doesn't recognize the drive or whatever, then it stopped doing it and bleeps like normal when plugged in and doesn't show the error anymore. Its now only when I open the sim and press "go fly now"
I just read someone got it to work. Sounds like I need a "powered USB hub" reckon I'll try to find one.

Haha, that is what I was just going to say, see if you can find a powered USB hub. I'd hate for you to keep throwing money at this with no results, so I would make sure you can return anything you buy that doesn't fix the problem 😉

return a electronics item.. really wow thought once you opened a item its your .. your the 1 picking it out...

Didn't like the color 😜

Or take the laptop and controller to a pc repair store. See if they can test a powered USB on it. It may be that it's Windows 11, and they don't have the proper driver yet for that controller. If nothing else, use a gamepad for the time being. At least they can probably try plugging the controller into a Windows 10 and Windows 11 PC and verify this.

But on Steam, there are a lot of people complaining 9.5S doesn't work for all kinds of reasons. A lot of those are having the same issues.

Yeah it does lol. What, you got stock in Walmart?

My Taranis just connects to my PC automatically, but I haven't found any info on whether it would work in RF or not, so I haven't bought it because of that. Seeing all the trouble people are having with the included Tx, I'll steer clear for now.

Still waiting on Amazon for the powerrd hub, should be here sometime today. In the mean time, I've met with the president of our local AMA field and have full 24/7 access. Took the Hawk Eye to the local football field and was afraid of smashing into some 2 year olds eye ball. Ended up putting it into yet another tree. Luckily it fell down. I'm done. Also, if anyone can possibly make a better prop for the Hawk Eye, let me know.

Realflight is up and working great. Got the powered usb hub yesterday from Amazon, that's what it needed. For anyone that sees this in the future, this is the one I bought.
Powered USB Hub 3.0, Atolla 7-Port USB Data Hub Splitter with One Smart Charging Port and Individual On/Off Switches and 5V/4A Power Adapter USB Extension for MacBook, Mac Pro/Mini and More. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G8CMR18/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_T7SKSWQ0TWST7C49PXBJ

Thanks for the help brotha I appreciate it. Now to figure out how to stream it to my TV so I don't kill my eyeballs. The little 13" screen really isn't ideal lol. But, she works. I'm happy for now.
