Does anyone know much about this sho rdlogics buggy, mugen importer is talking about bringing them in as a cheaper car, and since i pawn cars for him i wouldnt mind knowing what I'm pawning ......................
anything good or bad :)(

Wow that is cheap. Never even knew RDlogics bad a whole RC. I sent a couple of emails about it to see if anyone else I know has heard about it. At that price I can't imagine it is a "good" buggy, but it may be a good entry level model for a hobby shop to carry. Anytime I talk to someone not into RC, and they seem interested I tell them they should get one, then they learn the price, and never do, so a $300 buggy could get some people hooked, and then they might come back for a $2k buggy.

yeah thought it would be a base line buggy, just about fell over when he told me how much, started to wonder if i shoulda brought one instead of my prospec Lol he just trying to compete with the likes of Sacker and lightning quess well see

It does have a brand name that is out there. That should help. I'd like to check one out at that price so I could suggest it to begginers. Let us know what you think of it, as you will probably be the first to check one out at your LHS even if you don't drive it.

lucky me has been nominated the dest dumby for this car first one arrives soon:) but is gonna be hard to give an unbiassed opinion after driving my top line cars, looks like it is a kanai replica like the lightning and sacker :)

Mike I have seen this buggy on the RD logics website and I can't see how they can market this. I looked at this this very closely from the picture they have and it is the swift all the way. Also, if you look at their MT it strongly resembles the Raptor. I don't know how people get away with buggy clones like that but they are out there. Both the swift and the SHO are made in Taiwan so who knows. I'll tell you what though if it is just like the swift I am mad as hell that it is $100 dollars cheaper. ONE!!

it doesn't just look like the swift, IT IS THE SWIFT. they basically bought the buggy right out from under PRP. this is why PRP is releasing another buggy, which i feel is inferior to the original swift. just the new kingpin steering blocks alone are a dead givaway.

so mike, if you can sleep at night knowing your pawning off buggies that were ,IMHO, disshonorably aquired. then go for it.

Ah I'm only trying to get enough people into buggies around nz to improve racing, at the end o the day if i dont sell them for the mugen importer he will fing someone else!!!!!!!!!! and at least i try to push the top line stuff before i try to push the cheaper stuff, as far as dishonourable goes i dont know what the story is there and there is always a little more to the story than what people let on, heres a funny story though the new sacker or lightning as you call them have just been rereleased over here and get this they cost almost the same as a mugen mbx5 prospec GAH!!!!! they gotto be kidding same with the X1 Cr and the xb8 has almost been taken down to the cheapest car on the market at $900.00NZD Mugen $1200.00nzd kyosho $1350NZD saker 2 and x1 Cr at 1150NZd on average .70us to the NZ dollar so you work it out, its nutz

nothing personal against you at all mike, sorry if it read that way. i dont have very much respect for what RDLogics and Nanda Racing(the company that produces the swift) did to PRP. thats all. PRP is a good company that stands behind thier products and takes very good care of thier customers. for them to have the buggy bought out from under them like that was pretty underhanded.

as for your getting more guys into buggies..............whatever it takes. if you do recommend this rdlogics buggy, make sure that it has the upgraded parts the swift did not. from the pictures it has most of them, but i can't see all that should have been fixed.

Guys, guys, there is no underhanded things going on. There are only a handfull of actual manufacturers out there. It is either the actual Swift, or someone copied one, either way fair game. I am finding RC is 90% marketing. The real crime that I have found lately in magazines is the ad for AE. It says "Genuine AE RTR" or something like that. Well, every RTR that AE has is made by Thunder Tiger in Taiwan. That does not sound very genuine to me :)

hmm, thats not what i was told by the guys from PRP on a side conversation. they were screwed over, end of story.

The new buggy they have is called the Protech Enigma, I knew I saw that design somewhere. Are they screwing over Protech? Protech also distributes some Ho Bao and Hong Nor cars in European countries that are not covered by Ofna and the Distributor that HoBao uses in the UK (I forget the name).

Give your head a shake dude. Everyone distributes something from someone else. The new Trinity Truck is made by Flying Point, which made the Axis and Quake series that Duratrax marketed in the US. Hot Bodies is sold as something else in certain parts of the worls. Oh yeah, the Dirt Demon was also made by Flying Point, which is why the rims and tires are the same as the trinity truck, and also why is has an uncanny resemblence to the Thunder Quake.

The MT4 and MGT are the same truck, made by Thunder Tiger.

Ya starting to see what I am saying? Power Racing actually produces nothing, therefore, if they cannot add sufficient value for the product they are distributing, the manfufacturer can sell to whomever they wish. It is called free enterprise, you should know this as your country's entire economy is built on it. If Power Racing is not offering the same deal that RD Logics can, too bad so sad. If Power Racing feel they got screwed over, then they would have a contract that allows a court case. I doubt there will be any court case.

If you stop buying milk at the corner store and start buying it from WalMart, does the corner store have a case? No way.

Sorry to be rude, but your post is ridiculous. No company can claim to be screwed over if they were undercut by pricing or service, or just because of personalities. That is business, plain and simple. Why can RD Logics offer a buggy for $150 less, when the only thing missing is the MX3 radio. So, pricing on the radios have about a $50 spread. That means that Power Racing was making an extra $100 per package. That should answer your question right there.

As far as giving this Mike guy hell, come on. Do you belong to a union or something? He can't buy something from RD Logics and sleep at night because Power Racing and Nanda had a fight in the sandbox? You must be kidding.

plain and simple I'm not giving mike hell, i made it quite clear i was not. i did state my opinion of what happened. if you dont like it, thats your problem, i dont care, its my opinion and I'm entitled to it, as you are to yours. personally i wont by RD Logics, thats my perogative. if others choose to, thats thiers. its a decent buggy, wont deny that. but i wont own one either. I'm well aware of how free trade works, i see it every day in the machine shop, if we can't make a good part cheap enough, we lose the job. I'm not sure where I'm going with this, so I'm done now. I've stated my opinion.

I saw this on Ebay for the UK and Austrailia. Now, Australia makes sense, but they are going head to head with PRP/Schumaker in the UK. This is the low end version like the SHO.

Sinyih allowed the same stuff to happen, and they basically gone now. They make the ST-15 for Tower Hobbies, and had such buggies as the Top Speed and AX5. There were 4 different companies distributing Sinyih buggies under different names in the USA at one time. It obviously backfired.

Sorry that I got so riled. Your post made you seem to be the the treehugging type that boycots gas stations because they make too much money, that just makes my blood boil.

haha nope, i pay extra for 94 octane, no matter what they charge!

Yup,and you dont have a choice.

I can say PSI is not even close to a tree hugger, unless is car is wrapped around it :jk: .

Now as for the dealings that went down between the companies,I don't know what happened. But there are free market dealings, and shady ones.

One more question man. Should you not hear the other side of the story? YOu are taking one person at PRP's story as gospel and convicting Nanda. There has to be another side to the story, and I bet it differs greatly from the PRP version. Like any divorce, both sides are full of shyt to some extent :)
