it took some of your hair with it! lol jk....dont envy getting those staples.

I should also be clear that the 5T hit me in the back and the impact shoved me into a chain link fence. The fence is what caused the lacerations.

I've always said, stay away from those chain link fences - those damn things will jump out and get you every time!

Here is my shirt.

You can clearly see one tire hit on my left shoulder and the other hit in the middle of my back. The truck was way out of sorts.

special thanks to Ed for taking me to the hospital and waiting there until I was released. A true friend indeed.

True friend?
Wait till you get the bill. :D

Its amazing how much a scalp wound can bleed.
At first I thought he wad dead. He was on his knees with his hand over his forehead. At least I think it was his hand, there was blood EVERYWHERE!! It was gushing out like he tore an artery. It looked like the climax of a Quentin Tarantino move.

Rob sure sucked it up. Nothing like taking one for the team.

Good lord Rob....what fricking bad luck brother. At least it was a respectable sized rig to do that damage....how bad would it to say ya got whooped by a Mini-T. But wow sorry to hear that man. Get better and get to bashing again!

For the team? More like FROM the team!

That sucks man. At least now Randy Johnson can grab you by the seams for a 90 mph fastball! Take your pills and get well soon...

At the first RCX in 03, rc solutions was tagging along with the Hacker Brushess guys. They had an ace airplane pilot named Tim Lime who was hovering a brushless foamy between a big double, while brushless trucks and buggies were jumping over the plane. Someone from Hitech radios (will remain nameless) was driving Robs (of rc solutions) Cybermaxx. Those early generation cybers had a spring steel skidplate with a straight edge across the front. Anyway, the unnamed cyber driver lost control over the big double and hit Tim in the back of the head with the flying Ginsu knife. He needed a couple stitches, but it easily could have been serious or fatal. Since then our skids have a rounded front edge!

HOLY CRAP ROB! Damn man, sorry to hear about your misfortune. That looks like it hurt like a SOAB. Glad to hear you're ok though.

However, don't even think of using it as an excuse for being slow in VRC this year :stick: oops, wrong thread. My bad :D

Damn Rob that looks like it hurt, hope you heal up quick and the staples don't hurt as bad coming out as they did going in, And I will personally give Badger sh!t when I see him at the Norcal rock crawler comp in S.F. if he shows up, LOL!!!! just glad your going to be ok..

damn rob!! that looks like it tickled a bit. hope you get healed up soon,a nd no "lasting damage" at least now you have something to blame the hair on.. lol.

Staples will be out in about 7 days and the hair they cut off at the hospital will grow back eventually.

It makes RCX 2009 a memorable one and I will have the scars to prove it.

Thanks again for the well wishes guys.

Damn Rob. That just looks painful. Hope they heal fast. And remember, chicks dig scars.

Damn Rob... that looks nasty.... I can't even imagine getting a stapler to the head! Hopefully they gave you some good meds to get through it. LOL Did you have to get a tetnis (sp?) shot? Sometimes that hurts worse!

No meds for me and I did indeed have to get a Tetanus shot.

The stapler felt exactly as you would expect it to.

I have been avoiding getting a tetanus shot... hate needles! Want to see me pass out? Just grab a needle and try and stick me with it... or make me watch you stick you with it! LOL I guess I won't be laughing so hard when my jaw locks!

That's great about not taking pain meds... I am not a huge pill poper, but I am also a pain weenie, so that usually wins over.

I have absolutely NO idea how I missed this thread for this long. Damn Rob, that's quite a set of model train tracks you installed there.
In a way, it's good it was you and not Ed. Any more brain damage to him and he might get normal.

Staples have been removed from my dome about an hour ago.

20 of them came out with no problem.

2 of them decided to completely invert themselves so that the prongs were sticking up. Those did not come out without some "manipulation".
