The engine is a Trx 2.5 right? If it is it doesn't take a turbo plug.It takes a standard plug with a copper gasket. Is it sealed with RTV?

Cisco, read the thread before you make assumptions... The engine is a Sirio .27R with a turbo head button. I sealed the engine with high temp silicone before i tried running it. I believe i found the problem... i think it was the glow plug not being tight enough... dunno...

.21Rc10GT.
This is the first time that I looked at this thread.
Very sweet job.
Nice truck.
You should be proud of all the hard work that you put into this project.
It is truely a work of art.

Sorry .21, I didn't feel like reading all the posts. But I would think if fuel was coming out of the plug then the plug is loose. And if the plug was loose then the engine died because it didn't have enough compression with the plug loose.

Well, thanks for figuring it out for me, Crisco...

The plug was actually not loose (it was as tight as i could get it). I tried 2 different plugs and the did the same thing, so i tried another and it worked... i dunno what happend...

so did you run it again or what...sorry about all the bumps youve had that sucks!

Naw, my battery pack is dead... i think its too old or somethin... I needa new one... Didnt have time today.. been prepping for the rain around here.

.21Rc10GT I'm jelouse lol that Maxx is awesome!! I already miss mine and I just sold it last week lol. Someday I will build another monster truck someday. For now though I'm having a blast with my Rc10 and I've looked on line and parts are much cheaper for it than they are for a T-Maxx.

Not to crap on the thread, but I have a savage and a revo, and I like them both. Just my :2cents:

Check those out before building another maxx.

I would take that advice... I already had the maxx platform, so i thought i would try to make the best of it... :hammer:

I probally wouldnt build another T-Maxx. I was thinking of a Savage or like you sugested bustedgears a Revo. The main reason I bought a Maxx was I got it for 100 buck on ebay :). In my opinion the T-Maxx has way to many weak points when they are stock. But I would love to have .21Rc10GT,s Maxx that thing is sweet.

In cooler weather you often need to run a hotter plug to keep it running at idle. That last plug you tried might have been hotter.

Hmmm... maybe i should get a hotter plug... I'm trying 30% nitro as well... I was running a cold plug in this earlier and i replaced it with another cold plug, so maybe i should go pick up a med/hot plug...

umm i may have the answer to your problem.. just this sunday i was (trying to) run the savy.. got it all put together (new springs, cb, and spur) went to fire it and it sounded really weird.. try agian.. and it was fireing but woulnt run.. i looked and fuel was bubbling up inside where the ignitor is.. took the plug out and changed the washer and tried again.. same result finaly tryed turning it over with no ignitor and noticed that fuel was sqirting up THROUGH the plug.. took it out and you could spin the nipple with your finger.. weirdest stuff I've ever seen.

still haven driven that damn thing.. between the cb, spur, glow plug, roto start button going out, and one way giving up all in about 2 hours.. i just give up and beat on the hyper for a good bit

Yep, that was the problem with both, believe it or not... I have had that happen before, but i didnt even think about it, since they were both new plugs...

nope... I havent had much free time lately... I was going to drive it last weekend, but i ended up helping my dad re-build my grandparent's deck... looks like ill be doing the same thing this weekend...
