Hey...

Thought i would post the progress of my cybermaxx project. As most of you guys know, i have been having problems trying to assemble my 1/8th scale diff into the bulkless... Well i figured it out, and now the rest is a breeze!!! Thanks to the help from Scottm, i got the cybermaxx kit at half price, and i got killer protection and awesome design! The fuel tank is now going to be mounted where the throttle servo used to be, and vise-versa. The cage is totally awesome! I got some pics of what i did so far, so enjoy! I will update whenever i get somethin else done!

By the way, no, this is not going to be a shelf queen!!! This thing will be beaten to hell and back, dont you worry!

That thing just looks sick as all get out! It has a nasty skeletal look to it... The guy who made it definately deserves some major props!

Thanks man... I really like how its turning out so far. I definitly have to thank Scott at RC Solutions for his help and his awesome product! Thank you Scott!

Thats crazy how much do u have into it as it sits right now???

and lets just hope u dont break something when beating the hell out of it

Just like that is like $600... maybe... more??? LOL i don't even want to think about it...

Good lord! That almost looks like the truck I was working on a few weeks ago. Except his was blue and didn't have a roll cage. That t hing is going to weigh like 25lbs. Better get a moster mill to pull that moster around.

I think he's got a Collari .30 or .32 or a sirio .27 for it.....either one will make it a bashing destroyer......looks good kid,......

Thanks man. Yeah, i still have that brand new Sirio .27r sitting waiting for a vehicle to go into... It should pull this thing around nicely!!! Thats about the end of the aluminum... it will have RPM arms and knuckles, UE titanium cvds (the 6mm ones), lunsford hingepins and turnbuckles, proline steering kit, UE buggy style shocks (4 of em), and some other bits and pieces i forgot in there...

yea but its still a maxx :JK: looks good.. how many projects you gonna do at once?? lets see you got a cyber maxx, a rc10 on steroids, and the rebirth of the blazer... plus school and work?? oh and your mustang!! your a busy guy..

The GT is waiting for the header from Bruce, the Blazer is waiting for its battery pack, and the mustang is going to be sold (dad kinda made it clear about that one)...

As of right now, as it sits, it weighs 4 pounds 3 ounces... not as bad is i thought, but still kinda heavy...

that thing looks totall sick!!!i bet that thing will be beat to hell or at least i hope so! great job.

Again, thanks for the compliments!!! I ordered some UE drive cups for the tranny, and got some UE titanium pillow balls while i was at it... I also got my custom center drive lines ordered and some other small stuff I'm going to need to finish this thing up... I think the hardest part is done now... although, i may have to dissasemble the cage to get everything on there, but maybe not...

Well, in trying to test-fit the engine in, i have to dremel out some of the cage to clear the heat sink... I kinda thought i would have to, but was hoping it wasn't going to be an issue... oh well, i get to bust out the dremel now!

It looks awesome! Its great to see an all-out maxx project again. I forgot to tell you about the buggy tank mount, RCS PN 067. It lets you use an OFNA buggy tank which is infinitely better than the maxx tank.

Weight definitely goes up when you start putting in the aluminum parts. The weight is not bad when you build it with stock trans cases and plastic a-arms like I did in my thread here:

https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23684

The total weight on my cyber with rx batterys and everything is only 10.1 pounds. 21rc you will probably be around 12 pounds.

Also check out this old thread from when Fasteddy and Christian built up cybers more than 2 years ago:

Wait!! You can also cut down the engine mounts for extra clearance.

I dont even want to attempt that... If i screw up, the engine will sit out of plumb, and just annoy the hell outta me!!

As i said in the PM, i have the Ofna tank and mount already (the new era kit), and it looks like it is going to fit.

I can't wait to get this thing going!!!!

Alright, i got my UE titanium pillow balls and the tranny drive cups for the dog bones... just waiting on the center dog bones, and i can really start putting things together...

Ok, well i got the dogbones today!!! They are huge (around) and fit perfectly!!! They are like 3 times the thickness of the standard CVD and these are made from stainless steel. I now need some longer set screws for the tranny out drive because these dont stick out far enough to hold the brake hex... Scottm is sending me some milled down engine mounts so i dont have to grind my cage... I'm hoping i will have everything by this weekend... I will go to a hardware store to see if they have any 5mm set screws...
