ok i bought 1 of these roll cages ,chrome 4 point looks sweet mounted up
i drilled and attached it with the hardware they supplied ,
BEFORE i had anything on the chassis, now i got it all together and went to remount my stock pipe and it hits the cage and the throttle post
there isnt enough room there to allow me to mount my pipe ,
has anyone else mounted 1 of these and how did you make it work, was supposed to be a direct fit
lemme know please
thanx
rick

I dont have a cage yet lol but I was wondring if mabe you need to install the cage with the pipe already on? I dont know about the throttle mabe take a dremel to it ?

Bend it? I know when I bought a cage for my savage, I had to bend the sides out a little bit to get it not to rub on the fuel tank and exhaust.

I bought it off ebay and I'm not 100% sure on who the maker is. But it looks a lot like the RCRaven cages.

I had a copy on with my old Maxx. I had pipe clearance issues too but you have to fiddle with the cage. I personally did't like the way it was mounted. I prefer the New Era one.

well i figured it out ,,,it is for the 1st gen tmaxx,,
not the 2.5 version
so i guess i will try to sell it and get alittle of my money back ,
thanx ppl.

Hey I was going to try to get this one on ebay but I'm low on funds :( so Ill pass it on to you Racin_38 I seen you have the other one you bought is for sale would you consider trading for something?

Yeah the New Era three point cage is great. Installed in a snap. I had no problems with the install except on thing. I had to shim the fuel tank a bit to raise the tank up level again. One leg of the cage is mounted under one of the fuel tank legs. You have to shim the other three legs in order to level things out again. The only problem I have run into. Hope this helps.
