For some reason, certain sites like RCNT and Youtube don't work on IE7 all of a sudden. I tried resetting browser settings back to default, and a clean install. Now what?

I think I'm just gonna download Opera and Safari...

Works for me...Both do. Have you tried clearing out your cookies? Restarting?

Possibly download the latest Microsoft Updates?

Done all of that... No updates are available, deleted everything including search providers in the reset. All I get is an error message saying "internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close."

Edit: I just downloaded Opera. It's just like IE7 and it even has a thing that saves your sessions from last time--that's a plus. Currently working on transferring my favorites.

Have you ran your virus program to look for something malicious

Jon's right, IE is notorious for picking up bugs. I only use it when I have to do updates. Otherwise I use Firefox. I like the way it can be customized.

maybe you need to reinstall, its a ms thing. the perfectly time-to-fail-on-you-when-you-need-it-most kind of ms thing. i got tired of it so now its all mozilla firefox all the way.

IE quit working on You Tube a few months ago, so every time someone posted a link here I had to paste it to Firefox. I have not been able to figure out what caused it, so now I'm only using Firefox and Opera.
Another MS product I'm better off without.

Opera has been on my comp for all of 2 days and I'm in love with it. I also use Firefox for those things that don't work on Opera. I love the mouse gesture thing in Opera.
