Yeah Woodro! What is the time limit on claiming your prize? Is there one? I understand its not like a general raffle and he had to actually spend money to enter the lottery but shouldnt there be an expiration date? If he never claims his prize will there be a second drawing?

Ok, so he doesn't post in here but has he even claimed it? That's all I wanna know. Granted, he paid money for the tix but if he doesn't claim it I say we re raffle the storm. I still have my #'s. Thought I should keep it JUST IN CASE. hint hint, nudge nudge!:whistle:

I always keep everyones lotterty number, just in case the winner never does claim the prize. However Asian Fury has already claimed the prize. Upon winning the lottery I post the info here on the forums so everyone can see it, as well as either send a pm or email to the winner letting him or her know the good news. In Asian Fury's case I sent him an email, he replied the next day.

In case you are wanting to know, we give the winner 5 days to claim the prize - if no word is given then a new number is drawn.

I have a question though, is there a way we could restrict the lottery to members who actually post, and participate in the forum, like for active members only, have a required monthly post count to be eligable so that these great prizes will go to a participating member, not just someone who stumbled across the lottery?

In all fairness, the 'lottery' is more of gambling and does not require even a single post. If we were to restrict any type of drawing to 'actively POSTING members' then I would suggest it not be a 'buy-in' lottery and be free. Its like when I go to the Casinos.... which is often.... I expect to win a million dollars whether or not I have a 'club card'. However, the 'fringe' bennefits kick in if I am a club member and loose my ass night after night. Then I get the 'comps'

Of course they wouldnt be 500$ give-aways either. The site doesn't rake in money to be able to do that. If it did, I'm certain we would.

Anyone have any suggestions for what the next lottery prize should be?

I just would like to see our "regulars", the guys who are here all the time, helping out all the time, and post regularly, win. I also want Asia Fury to know I mean him no disrespect at all, just looking out for our regulars, hopefully he will become one too. Congrats Fury!

I agree, Losi Mini Ts might be really cool as the new lottery.

MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN, shot down AGAIN! Oh well, what can you do? Guess I'm gonna go downstairs to the r/c corner of my garage and just sulk while I continue to tune my OS mill. Shoot, nothing is going right today, it's even raining just so that I can't run my car outside to test the settings!

This has been considered, though I'm still not sure if I really want to start another lottery for contributing members only. However RCNT does have some contests and give aways planned for contributing members only in the near future. Keep an eye out in the contributors forum.

Along with Chris's comment, who would be the judge of how is "active" and who is not? We have a lot of members that have posted a lot in the past and now just here and there (Hunter for example). Along with that we have a lot of very new members that purchased tickets for this last lottery who did not win, in fact well more then half of the tickets were purchased by people who had registered within the last month or two. Between Asian Fury and Driver alone purchased almost half of the tickets just between the two of them.

Granted I see the point your trying to make NCNitro, but I don't think putting a restriction on something like this would be a good idea.

wow - i really lke the mini -t idea. the tickets would be pretty cheap, and the idea of doing several drawings for multiple mini-t's is a great idea.
