Ok..i got the engine...got it mounted..yay! Now...i ran a tank through it with the wheels off the ground like the manual said ...no problem..wasn't terribly difficult to start. 2 things i'm noticing...when i give it "gas" it kind of "bogs" down as it accelarates..mid speed...think i can fix that by adjusting mixture control valve...my problem though is if i put on the brakes to turn it dies...i'm thinking it's those 2 little set screws i need to adjust...anyone know? I"m @ work..just did this @ lunch...will pick up where i left off this evening..any tips would be appreciated! Thanks

make sure the idle isnt set to low.. if you trim on your radio is holding the idle then when you hit the brakes it will die.. you could also bring the idle up a bit

so could i adjust the throttle stop screw? my idle is all the way up on my radio

Yes sounds like its really low, turn the trim all the way down on your radio then adjust the idle. If you take off the air filter you can look down the carb. Have it set with the idle screw so its about open the thickness of a credit card and then go from there good luck :)

thanks guys...I'm anxious to see how much better this engine is vs the stock .15 it came with

Oh it should really be quick :devious: I'm sure you will be very impressed!

so far...it seems to be a little faster on take off..(more torque)...still leaning it out though so we'll see about the top end :O)

man..this motors fast and i'm still running a little on the rich side. I"m driving it up and down the street with the original stock tires that came on it..they are very bald..i'm guessing this is why when i get to a certain speed it will slide a little and i start losing control. Could the pro line street tires help fix this problem? is there any way to get a tighter turn radius out of the gt? Thats probably the only complaint i've had with it. But the motor rocks...i'm not sure i'll even lean it out anymore because it 's hard to control now...just wanted some opinions about the proline street tires. Thanks.

Yes, the proline street tires work, but i have found the proline Dirt Hawgs to be excellent tires on the street. They do balloon a little more, but thats why you take a strip of duct tape around the inside of the tire to calm down the ballooning. The turning radius really can't be changed unless you can spin the tires around the corners.
