It runs ok in the low end and bogs in the high end. Its running about 265(i dont like that to much, but what is the highest temp i can go?) It idles ok, but the car will roll if i dont put brake on, but if i idle it any lower, it will die. I hit the gas and it takes of strong and is ok in the low end and mid, but crappy in the high(bogs out and dies) What is up?

well, i think its the factory associated .15. The reason why i think so, is because it has the EXACT same cooling head as the factory engine.

265 is a little high for a smallblock. Too much exposure to that temperature range, and it could pop like a firecracker.

It sounds like your needles are out of alignment. Try opening the high needle about 1 full turn. That should get you in the ballpark. Next, on the idle opening, open it up about 1/4 turn on the screw. That should be more than enough to maintain a high idle, just so you can get the low end properly set.

I'll start with the "return to factory settings" advice. My gut tells me both needles are out of whack. Better off just starting from scratch and going one needle at a time. Factory settings for the AE 15 are 2.5 turns out from base on the HSN and 2 to 2.5 turns out on the LSN.

well i richened the high speed, and opened up the idle a little, and its doing muc better. Staying around 230 degrees.

I was going to tell you to richen up the top-end, but you seem to have already done that.

in the future though, factory settings are the best way to start your tuning anew.
