OK so I finally fired up the RC10GT I picked up a few weeks ago. It's got a Dynamite .12 Engine on it with an MIP Boost bottle and a TON of hop ups. The throttle servo seems to have good action on it, and it does have a return spring on it as well. When I fire it up, it runs MINT. Seems to be VERY crisp on the throttle both at low RPM and high RPM. Temp is great on it as well so seems to be very well tuned.

Now here's my problem. When I give it some throttle it takes off like a raped ape. When I chop the throttle, there is a half second lag there where it continues to keep going at my last throttle setting.

My thoughts are this is the boost bottle holding residual fuel or something and not anything technically "wrong" with the car. It's a minor annoyance, but if I can resolve it...I would like to. I don't want to be WFO and cut something too close and not half a half second to spare. I may disconnect the boost bottle and see if that helps, but since the crankcase has been drilled to install it I will have to get creative to plug it up in a temporary fashion in case it's not the real issue.

Just throw that boost bottle away. Then take some engine sealant and put some in the nipple hole for the fuel/boost line.

i too sometimes have thte issuse but most the time its the zip tie blocking the carb slide. nothing big, or just dead batterys.

This motor has a rotary carb, so nothing to slide, just a quick twist and it's good to go. It's all unobstructed as far as I can tell. I talked to the guy that used to own the car and he said it's probably the Boost Bottle as well. So I'll disconnect it and see if the issue goes away. It's not a huge problem, but could get a bit hairy if I ever raced with it. lol Bashing around...no issue at all really.
