:w00t: I ordered my RC10gt from stormer hobbies and they haven't sent me a confirmation e-mail yet is this bad??? Does stormer hobbies take long on the shipping I can't wait anymore I want it now. Anybody have any breakin' tips

After I break it in with the body in should I cut any holes in the body for ventalation??? I got the plus edition I am changing the radio as soon as I get it are there any other parts of the car theat need to be adressed upon arrival??

I had an RC10GT RTR, and just sold it, in order to get another RC.

The thing runs awsome. It will come with a great video for break in. FOLLOW IT TO THE LETTER!!!!!!!

Also, yes, cut a nice big hole in the front window for ventilation, and cut out the left side window so u can reach the pull start.

as for upgrades, the only thing that really needs to be replaced fast is the steering servo, and the rear dogbones. replace them with CVD's. Other than that, the thing is a beast, and no other hop-ups are 'manditory'

good luck, and have fun!

Steering servo is first on the list and I'll use the original steering servo to replace the throttle servo?? Well stormer hobbies finally charged my mom's credit card so it should come any day now. I was thinking about getting a boost bottle I heard that they dont work, but I would like the neighborhood kids to think that I am runnin NOS on the little bugger. Also I am going to build a custom cold air intake, I have a custom one on my jetta and you can definately feel the difference I hope it will work the same for this and not just make it run lean I will use these instructions to build with a couple of measurement differences https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/reviews/cold_air.htm

thanx

Dont waste your time with the cold air kit or boost bottle. Neither of them will help you gain, just adds weight.... Save your cash for a nice mill or starter box.. Or a nice cheap upgrade would be buying & painting your own custom lid. Good luck, & enjoy your GT.. Its a great truck.

A new lid will most likely be the first upgrade that or a new steering servo. Next I will get 1/8th scale wheel adapters I will get them to fit on the plus model somehow I just have to wait till the truck come to see if I can change the 3/16 axles with the factory team's 1/4inch axles.

I got the truck and all that I can say is that is a beast. The only complaint I have is that the p.o.s. pullstart broke, so next upgrade on the list is a starter boxes can any one tell me of some good ones for under $100.00. Also can anyone tell me where to measure the temp on the engine, I know that it is on the heat sink head but is it in the middle if so I'm runnin 40degrees to hot (307f) or on the outside on that I'm about 100degrees to cold(160f) I measured the temp at an angle and it read out at 248f which sounds about right.
thanx
