So I'm building my first kit in 20+ years. I got to the turnbuckle stage....and they still suck after all these years. One of my turnbuckles, the end just slides in/out of the ball cups. I can't screw it on, it just goes all the way on and slides back off. The rest you have to physically twist on. It's like one of the turnbuckle ends is defective with too small a thread. Am I having a massive brain fart or is this part defective? Aren't all the turnbuckles and cups supposed to the be same size?

as to your quandary. sounds like a defect

Yeah, I'm convinced now it is. I found some extras on ebay so just ordered them. Team Associated didn't seem to eager to help since the kit was discontinued.
