is it the ready to run or team the plastic is different on both cheap plastic on rtr they shouldnt even make the rtr. I've had several (over 5) all team or factory team and with a few hop ups
aluminum arm mounts crisenzy brake(dont know about spelling on that one. aluminum diff bolt and good servos they are exellent trucks

its the rc10 gt rtr plus or sumthin...... and i dunno i guess its not the car just you no they make poopy parts so you break em and have to buy even more expensive ones

I'm new to nitro seriously. I used to have electrics but never ran in the cold.. maybe they weren't as fast in the early 90's either way..

I took my son(s) nitor out to break it in so we could run it xmas day. (- 600degrees) lol.

Anyhow..slow figure 8's and circles occasional blip of the throttle. A short trip on the lid (easy cartwheeel)

Blam! upper shock bolt broken. Grrr.. ext day continuing brkea ing blam another... grrr. Then a turnbuckle. The break-in was turning this bran new nitro for xmas into a semi-used POS.

LOL... anyhow I made it to X-Mas day. we took it out (boys are learning r/c) It fliiped on it's lid broke the plastic gas tank nipple off.. All of this in the first quart of fuel. Damn! I was frusterated.

I came here, started learning what does and doesn't break routinely or in accidents. I learned what you can expect to break, and what should hold together.

Am I happy to find out that I can expect to break an A-arm on a hard bash, turnbuckles loose screws, brittle bolts and bumpers randomly ? Hell no it pissed me off!

How do I deal with it?
Its a great way to spend time with my boys learning mechanics and how cars work before they get a real one.

Although I cannot usually afford it, I do upgrade when something breaks (kinda positive)

I also learned to always ALWYAS keep the lid on or expect 10x the broken parts.

I also just now realized that when I took my real truck out, and beaa the crap out of it, I would break shock mounts, blow out shocks, crack windshields from the stress, blow oput tires trannys and diffs. The difference? a real truck cost me near $50 for a set of front shocks VS. $2 a peice for repalcment on the nitro heheh.

How coud I be okay with my real truck breaking at 200x the price, but not be okay with something I spent a total of $260 out of the box for?

Could they make em indestructable.. you bet but you get what you pay for. Stadium trucks are cheap compared to monster trucks due to less moving parts, and being lighter/ less durable.

If I were to spend $500-$800 on a nitro yeah I suppose I would be a little upset if a short tumble took out a gas tank, or support bolts.

The truth is at what stadium trucks cost (although very expensive for younger guys) about 1/2 to 1/4 what a monster truck runs. Soo.. monster trucks are a bit more durable but still not unbreakable at scale speeds of 240mph

ok thanks dude thats an inspiring story i just gotta realize thier not gunna make better parts so i just gotta make the best out of what time i get to run this thing with me and my friends thanks

Spanko find out what breaks the most by reading other posts, do a search. When it breaks if their is a better part replace it with that.

If you find that A-arms and turnbuckles break a lot. Think about that when you get a hold of your next $20 bill.. You'll break another one trust me, so go stock up on what breaks.. you won;t be nearly upset if you nbbreak a turnbuckle or a A-arm if you have 4 in your box to replace it with.. 15 minutes and you're bacak to bashen'

The old addage "if it aint broke dont fix it" well that doesn't always apply. In nitro If it ain't broke, it will sooner or later.
