I was wondering if there is web sites that is more reasonable than Amazon an eBay for getting a redcat or another brand...
Just wondering
Like I saw some Jordan's on one sight $436
After mor searching I found a place that had them for $ 115 so I bought them the only thing rong was the shoe box itself was torn really bad ..

Yes I saw that it was a little less $ than some sight that was on eBay ..at least threw redcat.com you probably get better costumer service

You no I'm looking for a caring grandfather also 😁 you no
That's how I got in this ..I bought my son a hosim x6 and saw how tuff it was and started looking in to them ..they came a long way since I was young..
An was wonting a hobby anyway so i
Decided on rock crawling looks like a challenge..I'll be purchasing mine next week I'm going with upgraded redcat fusion RTR.i do appreciate every one's help on here

Towerhobbies has a really good selection of Redcat. If you're able to take advantage of their loyalty program, can sometimes have the best deals and that's not just for Redcat vehicles. For example it's currently 15% off your purchase for super saver club members. I tend to gravitate towards AmainHobbies for all my other purchases though.

Depending on the vehicle redcat sells, you can sometimes get them even cheaper by going straight to the OEM for that particular car. The volcano and Tornado for example are rebranded HSP's and sometimes you can find them on eBay or aliexpress under the HSP brand for half the price of what Redcat is asking. The Volcano 1/16 they sell is a rebranded HBX 16889 and if you search around, you can find the brushless "pro" edition from HBX for the same price as what Redcat wants for their brushed version. Redcat also has sales pretty frequently on their site which has some pretty steep discounts. Around Christmas/new years tseems to be the best time to buy any Redcat as that's when they have their best sales.

Never herd of them let me check them out

I've never shopped for Redcat but I use ebay the most for RC parts. Then Amazon and AliExpress.

Then the hobby shops own websites.

I also use Jenny’s RC, Scorched Parts, Perfect Pass, Injora and Hobbies Direct. Eastern RC for M2C parts.

Yea that's about how I do it just about that order to
But are the RC rigs on Ally Express like the ones on temu
Noticed the ones on temu are kinda cheap knock offs of the name brand ones or do that have the name brand RC's
And thanks for the different RC sites

You got to know what you're buying before you buy it. Do your research. Know what to look out for. Read the descriptions and details. Check prices elsewhere. If the price is too good to be true, it probably is. AliExpress prices are generally lower, but the shipping is really slow. But if there's no hurry, that's OK. The tracking can be lacking too

In saying that, I've never had an issue with AliExpress. I have had some stuff that got lost in shipping but they always refund not problem. Again, you just have to know the product your buying.

I tried temu and everything I bought was absolute crap, cheap shite and the app/website was very scamy so I uninstalled it.

This right here can be applied to buying Redcat. They don't manufacture anything on their own, it's all outsourced from other manufacturers. Reviews for the cars are not accurate as the "fans" are generally very inexperienced in the hobby and they often times aren't entirely honest with how good/bad they actually are. You HAVE to do your research and find out who the OEM actually is, in order to get an accurate representation of how durable it actually is. You can't trust the quality of their products with their brand name alone like you can with Associated, Traxxas, Arrma, Losi, etc because the models are coming from 10+ different OEM's with different levels of QC, mold quality and plastic compounds.

I'm using Redcat as an example as OP mentioned them in the opening post of this thread. But, this can be applied to other low end brands like Maverik, ZD racing and FTX for example as they operate under the same kind of business model. Many budget options on Aliexpress are just the same 10 cars recycled under 100 different name brands as well. Especially the mini's which are almost always some repackaged WLToys, Hosim, HBX, MJX, etc. I'll use Import Genius sometimes to find out exactly who OEM's are for a lot of companies. Half the time, I can already judge how good a "new" release will be just by simply finding the OEM. I can usually find the exact same car that's been out under a different name for almost a decade or I can just look at the track record of other cars released from that same factory.

This is so true!!! Reviews on youtube should be watched without volume!!!! See what you see but DO NOT LISTEN TO THE REVIEWERS!!!
You do find occasional truth telling reviewers. They are the ones who typically ARRN'T paid and can only do 4 vids a year because they buy it all themselves and actually understand hoe it all works.
Then you have paid ppl.... They can say whatever they want to. Who cares really? Its 50% fact at best, 99% of the time.
Then noobs who haven't a clue trying to show how grease filled shocks work better than stupid oil and how to make you Tamiya Hornet run on 6s. 🙄
My favorite tho is experienced reviewers who try to review sprint cars by taking them off jumps. When you see things like this, its time to re-evaluate... a lot! 🤣
If you only go by reviews and not your own research, its just a matter of time before you get burned.
