Hey guys,

I'm new to RC talk and also new to being a hobbyist specifically building rc planes. I'm currently working on my first project and have come across an issue.

I'm using a hobbywing esc 30A and a 1800kv brushless motor. I have hand built the transmitter and reciever and for some reason when I connect the motor up to the esc and connect that to the reviever on channel 3 it seems to just beep every second and slightly twicth has anyone else experienced something like this?

It sounds like the ESC is waiting for a calibration signal, where the pulsed output goes from minimum to maximum ranges.

Thanks for yoir reply!

Are you able to help me with calibration or point me in the right direction with helping me calibrate it. I've tried to do it before but I can't seem to get it working.

It just means the signal needs to go from minimum, ~1000us pulses, to max, 2000us pulses. Going from minimum to max throttle and back should do it.

70s and 80s gals in the dirty south had no tatoos, natural beauty no freaky piercings, but dont be fooled, those gals had a sweet nature but a hot tempered side. Thats why 70% of redneck, hillbilly and cowboy marriages are Shot gun weddings. Yessiree bobcat wilde. Dont ask me why. Hehe.
