I don't subscribe to them. I just read them when I'm at the LHS talking with the guys

Ha, funny you guys bring it up. The only place I read my R/C mags is "on the throne". Kill two birds with one stone. Just be careful not to spend too much time there because you wouldn't want anything to dry up. Ewww.

I love XRC too, except for that Derek Buono guy. :)

Good thing I'm only DerekB!

Our magazine is designed for the bathroom...we'll be including one page as a spare piece of toilet paper just incase you run out. And not that dry paper we all use teh expensive wet wipes that leave you shower fresh.

And to everybody who thinks they are above magazines, you do realize that magazines spend tons of money every month trying to get new people into the hobby. We spend over $50k per month putting magazines on the shelf.

I've used this analogy before....Jeff Gordan (insert famous race car driver name and class here) probably doesn't learn much from a NASCAR (insert racing mag here) but they sure do realize the importance of media to them and the sport. I learn nothing from TV yet I still watch.

Magazine aren't always a Chiltons Bible to cars...they can be for....entertainment and information.

Godspeed

Is the mag really that good? I am going to subcribe :)

NO we suck, but reading suck is sometimes fun...

Hope you all are reading our dyno information. Our next issue has a full .12 racing engine guide with dyno numbers.

Freakin makin me mad. Stores around here can't make up their mind which magazines they want to carry. One week it's RC Driver the next it's XRC. i went into the local grocer today to pic up the newest RC Driver cuz there is an article on the TTR EB4 S3 and now they don't have it...just a little aggravating I guess.

Where magazines are carried is very complicated. We pay to be in stores. If they don't sell they stop carrying them. It's not as simple as it seems.

And I think you confused the magazines. Our last issue has the TTR on the cover.

Several High-end .12 racing engines including the Rody. It won't be out for a couple of weeks.

*crosses fingers* for a Novarossi NS12S3 dyno. I own that engine and have always wondered what kind of powerband it has. I thought I knew, but i just don't know anymore...lol

I'll definately be picking up that next issue. I've been shopping around for .12 engines for both my NTC3 and AD2. I'm looking at some of the Sirios, so hopefully they're covered.

S3 is in there.

I got hooked on XRC at the first Anaheim convention a few years back. Who can say no to sitting in a $3 yard chair in a mock up trailer park with 1 Trailer park chick sitting on my lap 1 rubbing my feet and another providing an X-treamly soft headrest. I signed up on the spot. I'm easy, easy as hell. I sent my photo of my proto-type CyberMaxx from RCS in and they published it. 2 points. Having DB here to beat up on is the 3rd and final point in my book.

Please post the Un-Seen photos of the modeling staff. Hell with the cars :D You guys know the real reason we get your mag.

I subscribe to xtreme rc cars mag. I like it a lot better than RCCA's line of magizines. It seams a lot less biased and more honest in their reviews.

Olds I couldn't agree more, in fact RCNT has purchased a few 1yr subscriptions for members as part of give aways and lotto's. I still pick up a copy from time to time.

Ah my favorite booth ever!!! Nothing was better than drinking the props the day before the show! We're a fun magazine, but obviously not for everybody...just like that rock and roll stuff you whiper snapers listen to. Where's my 45?

I think I'm finally gonna get me a subscription. I went to Borders today to browse a couple and I think XRC has a better thing goin. Seems to have more real information and articles. RCCA and RC Driver has so much advertising it's rediculous. A little better value also with a lower newstand price. Plus, I just realized that DerekB is the executive editor.. that's pretty cool.

sorry bout the mix up Derek. I have an S3 on order so I was curious about what the article has to say. Was that jan. edition? I think I have Feb.

You know I may be retarded, well I am. We just finished the issue with the S3 on the cover, I was thinking about the XRAY on the cover of Dec. So our review of the it should be in peoples hands in about a week or so, in the stores shortly after. I did the review of the S3 so you'd think I'd remember...duh

As far as ads, we have lots of ads but our editorial content is just a important so you don't notice the amount since it's balanced with editorial. In fact we want more ads so we can do more editorial content. For every ad there a page to read.

The adds pay the bills. Without them there would be no mag. I find the balance of ads and meat just fine.

I saw a blurb on the 1/12th Mini Mav http://swiftracingproducts.com/ in this last issue. I've seen it run and its awesome. Its built and designed by a local racer here in Sonoma County. Not only is it a great chassis but Jake the designer is one hell of a guy. I would like to see more articles and reviews on products like this. Hidden Gems that aren't put out by the big boys.

Wiper snapper?
Hay Rolex, No ones called me that in more then 40 years, how about you?

I love the wet wipes, that's all I will use. Not butt goblins for this cat. I am saving for a squirting toilet so my bung is really clean. Anyways if XRC includes that poop in their mag sign me up for a years subsription! Anyways I have always stayed away from those "other mags" RC411 is it for our hobby as far as I am concerend.

Damn I didn't know Jake was working with Swift. Congrats to Jake, he is the poop.
