I could've sworn the dead pool car was a 1/8 scale nitro car.

I knew it was electric since there was no engine idling when it sat still. I don't believe nitros had reverse then, either.
That's the scene that got me into the Tamiyas as my first R/C cars.

Ayup, that's an E-Maxx alright. And to think I was getting close to seeing it the other day. (saw I Am Legend instead--movie kinda sucked lol)

LOL the least they could have done though is had a stick type remote. It always bugs me when they use stuff that looks nothing like the real thing. (and when they add conveniently placed beeps and boops to computers-- WTF??)

It would be kinda kool if they made a movie that had alot of RC's in it, like some sort of RC racing movie... I mean, they made Need For Speed into a movie right? (Fast and the Furious)

no this was an old movie. the kid went to a model house to play with his rigs and some robber guys came in and were hiding out in there. he was trapped in the attic while the guys were there.

i remember him and a girl racing buggys around the air ducting in the attic, she rolled over the MT and he flipped it back over with the plane, and he chased a car in the nitro heli with a note attached to it for them to help him but they didnt see it. the yodeling guy was weird.

Oh, and I just remembered, there was a show on the speed channel where an HPI rep came on the show and brought his 5b with him. I think they turned the 5b into some sort of moving boombox lol
