It just occured to me--wouldn't it be kinda cool if you saw your favorite nitro RC in a movie? I was thinking about it and I've never seen a hobby grade RC in a movie before. Does anyone know of a movie with one in it?

National Treasures Book of Secrets

There is a Heli in there when they are in France

Is it a prop (actor uses it) or just scenery? Like some random guy just flying it in the background.

I wasn't wanting to see this one but I guess I have to now :D

Oh, and when in the movie is it?

Dead Pool, back in the early 80's; gold tub RC10 with more than 8 cells and a fairly hot motor, driven by Cliff Lett.

I knew it was a Clint Eastwood movie, but I couldn't think of that title. That's the BEST R/C you'll ever see in a movie. Black Corvette, loaded with explosives, trying to chase down and blow up a real car.
EXCELLENT chase scene on the hills of San Francisco.

You've GOTTA' put this on your 'must see' list.

Its in the middle....they fly up to get a clue off the Statue of Liberty....the original.

what is that movie where the kid had all the rc's? he had a few buggys, a plane, a monster truck, a heli, and a weird yodeling mountain climber guy..

oh and bad boys 2 has a nice monster truck in it but its all armied out.

I saw a movie recently with my wife/son that a had a T-Maxx in it. I'm not sure but I think it was Alvin and the Chipmunks, but I've slept since then so no guarantees.

In Alvin, it was just a regular toy RC. I remember there was an RC car in one of the Home Alone movies. I forgot which one it was.

Pimp my ride did up a K-5 blazzer for a guy,he had a nitro maxx driving around while xzibit was at his house picking up the blazzer. They put a R/C style paint job on the K-5 and some dumbass tv monitors in mudflaps on the back???? It was pretty cool seeing the maxx on MTV though.

its a Traxxas E-maxx, Friends

in Alvin it was an E-maxx...those bumpers are easy to to identify and that cheesy body was just a stock one without all the stickers on it....the hobby shop I used to work in as a kid (trade-n-hobbies) had a car the owner said was the one used in the Easwtwood movie.....if it wasn't it was a nice replica...I think it was an RC10L or whatever pan car model of the day was.....don't forget the tamiya brat in the manhattan project....

What about the monster truck in Ocean's 11? It was drag racing with a full sized MT... It must have been a custom job though.....

That would be Home Alone 3.

Driven by Jay Halsey.

Wow. I coulda sworn Lett was behind the wheel of the infamous black rc10. It wouldn't surprise me if ol' Jammin' Jay was the wheel man.
