RC car bogging when changing gear

Hi everyone

I have a nitro car and it has 2 gears but when it hits second it bogs straight away do you know what this could be

I agree with @monstertruckier15. The gear probably shifted before the engine reached the peak efficiency that caused it to stall.

I'm not quite familier with nitros, but I think you have to turn the adjustment screw to tighten the tension spring.
