RC Buggys good or not

Hello everyone, I've seen buggys race they look pretty cool and go fast, and heard good and bad from people would a buggy be a good investmentand if so what ones should i be looking at, not to expensive like around 350.00 or 400.00 Thanks for your help.

I would highly urge you to look at the XTM Racing X-Terminator Deluxe. They have a large .247 engine that gets great power. They buggy is bery durable and very quick, a article I read said around 46 mph, which is very good. THe deluxe comes with a bunch of cool ho ups like 5mm thick shock towers, carbon radio tray...etc...If you are racing don't get this buggy, not the most nible one and the engine is not race legla. If you are not racing I think it is the best deal out there. $380 RTR.

if u are new to the hobby, i'd go with an RTR for the ease in getting started. if u have some experience in building get a kit. this way u can learn how the buggy was built and feel more comfortable fixing it should it brak. for the money u are looking to spend, lookat the ofn line of buggies. mainly look at the hyper series or the violator. those a re solid buggies that hold up to bashing and with just some minor mods/changes can be made race worthy.

Buggies are good especially if you want to race...Personally, I wouldn't get a buggy only for bashing. maybe a truggy like the Lightning or GS SUT

I like buggies for bashing, they are very fast and they fly higher and longer than MTs or truggies

The 9.5 violators are nice also. I was gonna get one before my x-term pro. They look pretty sweet and you can get them on ebay new for $375. They are better if youmight want to race. But the deluxe is very hard to whip around the turns at the track. Too bulky. That would be your best bet if you are 100% bashing.

I love my x-term too. But I just bash. I don't have a grand or so to put in a buggy. If I did I can't see taking it out and bashing it.
Depends on what you want to do with it. A buggy sux on the grass. Great on the dirt. Watch a couple of vids of them jumping. I love it. I never thought I would want a buggy. After watching how much abuse they take, I had to have one. Got it before my Savage.
I see you have an Ofna. RCCA did an article in Jan. on $400 cars. Had a Ofna buggy in there. Don't know a thing about it, but here is the link. http://www.rccaraction.com/rc/articles/fast400.asp

Everyone has their own opinion. Do a little research before you buy. If $400 is what you want to spend, you can't go wrong with the X-term.

You can get a Mayhem RTR for like $470 from SoutheastRC.com. Great engine, durable, an overall nice RTR. It also comes with a nice FM radio. I have a Mayhem Pro and like it very much.
