I hear tell the FAA wants us to put identifiers on our birds that weigh over certain amount. Its a restriction for small foamy birds and rather silly. I'm not sure but it might be a foamy over 800 grams? One might have to also register their birds over that target weight. I know my micro foamies are light, my t-28 is knocking on the door of heavyness, but I'm pretty sure my nitro is pretty heavy. Any of you know if this is law or just a passing phase?

Unless you want to fly at a sanctioned field, it's not really nescessary. It's just another gov. Money grab. This of course depends on you using common sense and flying safely. We checked with a few law enforcement officers, and they pretty much said it was silly and they would not enforce it. It is pretty much only going to come into play if you violate any airspace you don't belong in, or hit somebody or damage private property.

I'm a mature old dude, so I just enjoy flying at a baseball diamond near a lake. Its empty during the week and really nice for easy micro rc flying.

You should be golden then. :thumbs-up:
