I have a revo with a rb concepts tm523 motor and was wondering what would be a good combo on the clutch bell and spur gear for more top end and wont loose all bottom end? Thanks

I have not run the engine yet but I am planning to start with a 16/38 or 15/36 for the track. If you want top end 16/36.The tranny gear set plays a role, all first gears are the same ratio but you are making the second gear and final drive taller/top speed by using the standard ratio and even taller wide ratio.I use the close ratio for the track (shortest final drive ratio /less top speed)

I have a 16t and 36t in it now and runs pretty strong now.Just wanted to know which way to go to get a little more top-end.I start getting confused when i start changing both gears.not sure which way to go.Thanks

go with a 38t spur, i also have a RBC TM523 if you need a running engine as a back up. $125 shipped new its $399

A 38t sput will give more low end not top end. I suggest either a 34t spur or a 17t clutch bell. Simply put bigger clutch bell = higher top end, bigger spur = more low end.

I have an RB 523 in my Revo. I have never touched the spur gears or diff oil. I am also having a hard time getting the RB tuned right. Any suggestions on how to set it up ?
