I am wondering if anyone can explain what is going on with my friends 28. first off he has to run with 2 washers on the glowplug because if he doesn't the temps run between 280 and 320. with the extra washer the temos are about 250. and secon he rolled it a few times yesterday and all of a sudden it started running really strong and the temps dropped to 225. come to find out the fuel line got stuck in the fins on the head. when he ull out the fuel line the truck runs hotter and not as much power.

That's pretty wierd...

What % nitro is he running? He would probably get better results if he actually used another head shim as opposed to a second washer on the glow plug. Putting more than one on the glow plug is prone to leakage which is going to give you erratic temps.

If he's running high nitro (>%20), I believe it's best to run with more than 1 head shim.

What kind of plug is he running? I've found that running a medium plug in a 21 gives me the best performance and temps.

I know he is running 20% trinity moster and an os a5 plug. but what is really getting us is the thing runs better and cooler when the fuel line is stuck in the head
