I traded my Kanai 3 for a revo today.
Just figured that I would share this info so you guys could give me the do's and dont's.

Corrado, can you get me the set up from Troy?
LMK.

Congrats, dude. I think most of us will agree go to the optional springs they give you and watch the tank seals...that is the two most common problems/easy upgrades. Also, stock tires suck for heavy offroading or serious racing.

Dont run that Revo into a brick wall head on.... LOL Huge not to do. Those Kanai 3 bug's are pretty sweet are you sure you made the right choice?

Revo the best Nitro MT ever built out the box!

I have a 777 sp2, so it wasn't that big a loss.
It was new and unused, but it had to go.

Cool beans man... I'm sure that thing will be hooked up by the summer... lol A racing machine.. Watch out Trax70...

Wow interesting trade. I thought you were keeping the Kanai for a backup, I must have missed that part in your build thread. Anyway, FOC if you don't have it already. P2's, Lunsfords Ti pushrods and Traxxas Tubes toe links. Check the Traxxas site and do all of Slaydaddy's steering mods, best part is they're all free! Single servo,if it doesn't have one, with the HD servo saver. Ummm, I'll think of more. Which mill?

no problem rob, ill see if i can get ahold of him. since our outdoor season is pretty much done, i dont see troy often. when i do though ill get the setup. what i know off the top of my head is he's using red springs, p2 rockers, the extender tubes for the pushrods, lower roll center mounts. aluminum shock ends, aluminum knuckles, os .18tz, FOC, close ratio gears, aluminum skids, and tank guards, 23mm hubs with wabash wheels and 40 series bowties. ill get the rest of it when i see him next, but that should get you started for now.

The things that I would recomend are RPM arms, An Os tm or tz. (and one of these if you do), RD's aluminum shock mounts are sweet and are way easier to get your shocks into then the stock plastic, Motor saver, and that should get you started haha

jet I searched the traxx forum and can't find it. Did he start the thread or did sombody post his steering mods?

Thanks for the tips guys.
I'll drop it off at the LHS and get the parts going.

jetmechG550,

can you post up the link? I did a search and didn't find any :D Thanks bro.

Good truck overall.

The engine runs hot, 250, 260, 270.

OS .18TM is the way to go.

Cool, I think you will be happy with that truck. I may go TNX just to be different.

I have the 18 tm already. Thanks.

Yeah, I forgot, As Jet says, watch the shock ends, they go out pretty easy. When they do get better ones. Or just go all out and get the full upgraded Traxxas shocks. The new Integy shocks look cool but I am waiting to hear back about performance and durability.

RPM arms are nice, but so far I have not had the need for new arms. Maybe for all out bashing, but I do not think you will need them for racing.

Yank out the FOC and Opti Drive, plus as Jet mentions, get one super duty steering servo and mod the steering set up for more turning radius. Check back issues of RCCA about 4-6 months ago for an article on this.

I run the RB 323. At this point I am convinced it is overkill. .18 TM is probably best choice overall for the Revo.

Nice info Jet.
I'll put that info to good use.

I see you got a set of the lunsfords rockerposts! On the setup's I like the body mount mod, it really doesn't do anything performancewise but lowering the body down keeps it from having that big wheel well look like the Dodge Rams and Chevy Silverados. Have you checked out the TeknoRC throttle servo mount yet? I have pix in the Revo forum.
