I wouldn't give them $25 for that piece of crap 🤣

And it can't be "new old stock" if it's fully assembled. I hate stupid people.

Ridiculous. I could see the unassembled one going for decent money. To a collector. And only if it's truly a first run kit. 450.00 is more realistic.

And the second one....look at the battery packs. They've been hacked open and rebuilt. And the janky charger. Some people have truly lost their minds.

Many of these were re-released. If you really want to relive your childhood. Buy one of those.

That's what I've done. They look the same sitting on the shelf. Only minor differences which nobody cares unless they are a true collector. For example, my friends and family look at my re-release Monster Beetle and only talk about how either they had one or always wanted one when we were kids. For me the re-releases are the way to go.

I had one back in the day... was in the USAF, stationed in Korea and the base hobby shop had a lot of Tamiya stuff. It was actually a decent performer given the old battery chemistry in use at the time, but an really high center of gravity made it prone to rollovers. I sold mine when I transitioned back to the states. Never really wished for it back.

He has a very skewed view of the Holy Grail. For me it would be the Kyosho stuff. I always looked at the Tamiya, Nikko, and other brands like that back then as the more entry level and toy grade stuff.

Ehhh, I'd say that the original RC10 could be a "holy grail" with how many models it would inspire over time. But using a Grasshopper gets more clicks I guess.
I'd agree that the RC10 was the car of choice over the Grasshopper that was raced back in the day when I was growing up.

Between Mark Santa Maria and Razor RC the titles are becoming more of a "click bait" than what the subject matter is about.

Unfortunately that's part of the YouTube "game", more often than not I find the comment section more useful than the videos themselves.
